There are 1.5 million kids running away from home every year in America.
Five thousand kids each year are buried in unmarked graves. These runaways and castaways are refugees from a bigger war going on inside the American home. There are 2 million juveniles arrested every year in America. There are many other kids who come from Christian homes who need help. This is where we come in.

Truth for Troubled Youth Ministries is a non-profit ministry which performs services and ministry to six area juvenile detention programs in N.W. Florida.  We seek to provide troubled youth a second chance, ministering to the spiritual and moral dilemmas they are facing. Thousands of youth have come to trust Christ since the organization was founded in 1993. This organization is interested in providing a Biblically based solution to the juvenile problems in this country through concerned Christian workers and local churches. Our goal is to help young men turn their lives around.

Truth for Troubled Youth Ministries also operates a residential boy's home known as the "Heritage Boys Academy". At the Academy, we seek to help troubled youth through the structure, discipline and love of God's Word. The boy's academy opened in December, 1995. It is a 24 hour military boarding school program designed to meet the needs of troubled boys- teaching them how to have a relationship with God, respect for others, and to demonstrate responsibility and resolve in all behavior. Heritage Boys Academy gives boys in trouble another chance, as well as providing an alternative for parents that have reached the end of their rope in dealing with the frustrations and problems of a rebellious youth.

We keep our fee reasonable, making help available to families that may not be able to afford more expensive programs.
